FAQs

What if I have no experience with weightlifting?

No problem! Whether you’re an absolute beginner or an advanced power lifter, or anywhere in between, I will work with you to create a program that develops as you do.

What certifications do you have?

My certifications include:

  • NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)

  • NASM Weight Loss Specialist (WLS)

  • TRX Qualified Instructor (Group Training, RIP Training, Functional Training)

  • KBC Certified Kettlebell Instructor

  • TriggerPoint Therapy Level 1 Foam Rolling

  • American Red Cross CPR/AED Certified

What can I expect at an initial consultation?

Your initial consultation is the first huge step towards a healthier life! Don’t worry, I won’t put you through any fitness test. We will mostly have a conversation around your goals, background, and habits in order to get to know one another. From there, if you decide to start training, I will build out a fitness and/or nutrition plan for you.

What should I wear to my first session?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing that does not restrict your movements. Good sneakers are key - ideally meant for weight lifting or cross-training, but any sneakers will do the trick. Feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable.

What if I have an existing injury or health condition?

First and foremost, talk to your doctor to ensure that you are cleared to safely exercise. After that, we will work together to adapt your training plan as needed. We can modify exercises to target affected areas, incorporate stretching and rehabilitative movements, adjust intensity, and more.

How much does personal training cost?

We’ll work together to land on a price or package that makes the most sense for you and your goals, but you can expect to pay between about $75 and $95 for an hour long session.

Where are you based?

I provide personal training in a private studio in Montclair, New Jersey, about one minute from the Whole Foods. Please note that my studio is up a flight of stairs.
