C2 FITNESS MONTCLAIR
Nobody decides to stop training. It just happens.
A note for the Montclair professionals who used to be athletes.
The move out from the city. The second kid. The promotion that came with earlier trains and later nights. Somewhere in there the workouts stopped, and there was never a moment where you chose that. The calendar chose it for you.
Then one day you notice. Your knee talks to you on the stairs. Your back is stiff for the first hour of every morning. You lift the bag into the overhead bin and something in your shoulder objects. You get to four in the afternoon and there is nothing left.
None of it is an emergency. That is the problem with it. An emergency gets dealt with. This just sits there and gets slightly worse every year, and it all gets filed under getting older, because that's easier than calling it what it actually is: a schedule that never made room for you.
None of that is a failure. It's what demanding careers do to people who are good at them. The professionals who train at C2 came in with the same story, sometimes after five years away, sometimes after fifteen.
The people who train here are not starting over. They are picking something back up.
THE RESTART
What coming back actually looks like.
01
Nobody asks you to explain yourself.
The first session is an assessment. Where you are now, what hurts, what you used to do. No judgment attached to any of it. Everyone who trains here started that conversation somewhere.
02
The hours fit the life you actually have.
Weekdays five in the morning until ten at night. Weekends seven to noon. People come in at six before rounds, or at eight after the kids are down. Private parking lot on the property, so you are not circling Valley Road at seven forty five.
03
Nothing to figure out.
Every session is written before you walk in. You are not standing in a room full of equipment deciding what to do after a long day. Show up and do the work. That is the whole ask.
04
It comes back faster than you think.
Bodies that trained before remember it. The first few weeks are the hardest part and they are shorter than people expect. Progress gets measured here, so you are not relying on how you feel about it on a given morning.
WHAT CLIENTS SAY
★★★★★
I was someone who used to try all of the gym class fads, from CrossFit to F45 to a lot of the places around town. What I finally realized was you just need to lift something heavy, use the right form, start eating better, and stick to it. Glad I finally made it here.

Great supportive and professional training right in downtown Montclair, with parking. Super responsive with great availability. Nice to just show up and do the work without second guessing yourself. Takes a lot of the guess work and frustration out of the fitness process.

Really enjoyed my time training with Trevor. He was attentive to my needs and constraints, focused on getting the best out of me during our sessions. The gym itself is great too, has everything you'd need for one on one training. Highly recommend Trevor, Corey and the whole team at C2.

Built for high performing professionals whose calendars stopped leaving room.
WHO THIS IS FOR
C2 Fitness Montclair works with people across finance, law, medicine, and executive roles. People used to delegating to those who are excellent at what they do, and who expect that same standard here.
Most of them didn't walk in with a plan. They walked in with the same recognition you might be having right now, and let the team handle the rest.
C2 Fitness Montclair is led by Corey Clapp, and it's no longer just one person. The team includes Patrick Murray, a two time Guinness World Record holder with a clinical fitness background, and Trevor Reckling, a former professional pitcher with four Minor League All Star honors and a Team USA gold medal. Every trainer works under the same programming standard, overseen directly by Corey.
THE TEAMWhenever you're ready, start with a conversation.
A consultation covers where you are now, where you want to be, and whether this is the right fit. No pressure, no obligation, and no assumption that you've figured anything out yet. That part is the team's job.
